Happiness and toxic union

            There is a philosopher I like a lot, Plotinus, and he talks about The One, that can’t be divided, beyond all categories of being and non being, the source of the world and by “emanation ex deo” we get Nous (the logos, rationality) , from Nous the emanation continues to Anima Mundi( which has 2 parts, the upper part and the lower part) , from the lower part the world and materiality so us are emanated.

        The idea I want to underline with this example is simple: we are happy because we have the conscience of the Form: shapes of feelings that fir us, people we find beautiful and warm and we want to share Forms with, happiness as Plotinus would sustain, in our power to Reason and I would add, our power to stop reasoning and go back to Nietzsche’s Dionysus and pay tribute to our splendid instincts that keep us ticking and enjoying.

         When people tend to guide others after their own beliefs it happens that many vibrating personalities are diluted in the process. Oh and how good would it be not be have to deal with such deconstructive attitudes. It makes me sad to think what people can actually do to each other in a relationship. And yes, of course there are some compromises that must be commonly present in order to make things work, but just because WE ARE different and that is what makes us shine like a crazy diamond.
